About me

Matheus Alves

I started in tech while still at school, taking the technical course at Fucapi and then going on to study Computer Science there. From my very first semester I was already working professionally, with PHP, Android and iOS.

The BEPiD programme taught me to build iOS apps with Swift alongside an entrepreneurial way of looking at products, and that shaped the rest of my career.

I spent two years building startups with friends. We wound them down, but the one I am proudest of is Ludkids, which made mobile games to exercise the skills of children with Down syndrome.

At Méliuz I grew as a front-end engineer and web architect, led teams, handled my share of crises and stepped into backend work whenever it was needed. I mentored other teams on the projects mine owned and helped coordinate the internal front-end guild.
